Artist Joseph Turnbull is a born and bred Londoner currently working out of a studio in Queen’s Park. He has a degree in fine art from Bath School of Art and studied at the Aalto School of Art in Helsinki.
The attraction of creating and solving problems is an intrinsic part of Joseph’s practice. Exploring the relationship we have with our everyday environments, interactions and even perceptions. He delivers these artworks through painting and sculpture.
His last series titled ‘100 paintings in 100 days’ saw him take an object a day from his studio and study it, creating a visual diary and a snap shot into the artists surroundings and life. From mundane conversations on the bus to everyday objects in the studio. There is never a lack of subject matter.
Joseph is currently on the committee at Soho House and working on a new exhibition for 2018.
